Profusion Target Haul

There's 2 sides to working near a Target. Both involve convenience. A couple weeks ago I went there after work. The goal: get good pens. What I left with: 3 pallets from a brand I've never heard of, vitamins and a really cute jewelry tray (I actually bought matching ones for my girls too). And no pens. Eh! It happens.

The decision to get the palettes was mainly price (they were Christmas gift sets). At $6.98 each I couldn't say no. But, on top of everything else, the colors were appealing.
Before posting about my find I've researched the brand. I don't want to recommend a product that can't be found. Profusion is at Target and online.

What I found is the shadows are highly pigmented, so smooth and blendable! I can honestly say that I've pulled these out more than my other palettes.

The palettes I purchased are eye & cheek, sultry and pro highlight. The brushes with the highlight palette are surprisingly well made too.

Below are some looks I've created with them.

Note: I am using their blush and highlighters as well (so loving this pro highlight palette.)

January 18--The eye look today really challenged what can/cannot be done with these shadows. The matte shades are gorgeous. They are like a dream. The metallic shades are very challenging. They don't work well with a brush, wet or dry. I learned the hard way today trying out a wet brush. The only way you get a brilliant glittery or foiled look is by using your fingers.

January 19--During the work week I tend to gravitate towards smokey neutrals. I work in a dental office so I try to keep my make-up from being too loud. Here is my workday look at start of shift. The 3rd image is my "wear test". It lasted better than expected. (Please forgive my brows, I'm really trying to let them grow back out.)

Pallets & Swatches

Final thoughts: I really enjoy having these pallets. There are so many looks you can create with these. The side note is patience. While the matte shades are a dream, it takes a little more work for the shimmer shades to pop. Go in with a light hand and build them up.

If you like these kinds of blogs let me know. If you see something you would like me to try, I want to know that to. Love you all and I'll be back soon.
