The Sleep Styler.... Pass or Fail?
Ever since I saw the Sleep Styler I had to have it. I'm not a morning person.....at all. So my dream is to sleep a little longer, get ready with ease and take my coffee deprived self to work. Really. Is that too much to ask for? Ok fine. Yes. I seriously need to reevaluate my wants in life. But I can dream right?
Anyways. Every time I had these roller in my cart, it hit the fan. My hours get cut, kids get sick, and it seems like someone always needs glasses. My dream of stress free mornings kept getting pushed back. Then one day I was at Target and there they were. Pretty and blue and......half off?!?! (Put some makeup back) 2 of those babies went into my cart.
I couldn't wait to use them. But I did. I read a zillion reviews and watched at least that many how-tos on YouTube. Figuring that I got this, I washed my hair and got it mostly dry. Put a little mousse in my hair, per so many tutorials. Then comes the rolling. Honestly, these are a greater pain than traditional rollers.
Now, those of you who follow me on Instagram, you may have seen my before and after pictures for this test.
All rolled up:
The next morning:
As you can see from the pictures, the hair I imagined didn't happen. A wide tooth comb couldn't salvage this mess. I ended up pulling it into a bun. The bright side is my bun was beautiful. Curls were over the top.
I'm not sure if I want to try these again. The first time was a train wreck and I don't have patience or time in the mornings to fix what these rollers leave behind.
Overall these are a depressing pass. Maybe something will come out one day that will truly revolutionize my morning. Until then I will keep trying.
I will see you all next time!
