New Skin Care

Awhile back I mentioned that I was trying out new skin care. Before I posted about what I've been trying, I wanted to really use these items.

Some of these are really great. Others might be nice but not worth the money. Some are just a no.

Please keep in mind that this is how I feel about these products. My reviews are based on how they reacted with my skin and if they performed the way I want. This is also not a blanket review about each brand.

Cleansers

L'oreal Bright Reveal Daily Face Scrub ($6.99)
I believe I've mentioned this in a previous post about scrubs. However, I am still using this and still love it. It's a good every day scrub that doesn't dry out my skin.

Golden Door Soothing Cleansing Foam ($48)
I received this in my New Beauty Test Tube subscription. Initially I didn't want to use it. It's $48 retail and what if it's awesome? Could I will myself into paying that much? Well.... I started using it and it is awesome. It cleans without stripping my skin. It's so hydrating. It feels and smells soothing. It has lavender in it. The foam is great and only takes 2 pumps to wash your face. I've been using it twice a day for a month and have only used a quarter of the bottle. That being said, I can see myself spending $48, 3 times a year. That really isn't bad.

Vasanti Brighten Up Exfoliating Cleanser ($34)
This is legit. It exfoliates like crazy and doesn't make my skin feel rough like Dr. Brandt does. (It's the same texture as Pore Dermabrasion.) I received a deluxe sample in a sub box (can't remember which one). I'm glad I got a full size from FFF in the summer box.

Serums

SMD Cosmetics Int'l-Saromae Snail Serum Concentrate ($69.95)
Let's be honest for a sec. Putting something that came from a snail weirded me out. I have read so much about it that I had to try. I got a sample from New Beauty Test Tube. One pump is all you need. It comes out really thick and gel-like but it melts down and will spread. I don't know if it does what it claims but it felt nice actually. My skin was inordinately soft afterward and I hadn't moisturized yet. I'm not sure if I'll buy this (it's pretty expensive for a serum) but I'll definitely use what I have.

Skinn Collagenesis Deep Wrinkle Protocol Youth Capsules ($129)
This is probably the most outrageously priced skincare item I've ever used. It supposedly "turns back time" on your wrinkles. You use it 5 nights in a row, rest 2 and start over for. At the end of 4 weeks, ideally, you will see a difference. I've used it for 2 weeks and don't really see a difference. However, I haven't been consistent with on 5 off 2. I'm going to use the remaining but not buy more because the price is way outside what I want to spend.

Sonage NMF Hyaluronic Serum ($36)
I bought this as an addon with my spring FFF box. I won't buy it again. It feels sticky and, after months of use, I don't see a difference.

LilyAna Naturals Vitamin C Serum ($19.99)
In general, I like this serum. I don't love it. I'm still looking for something better but it's nice. It's smooth and absorbs into my skin quickly. It leaves behind no residue. The best part is it's free from Parabens, SLS, SLES, petroleum, phthalates, artificial color and fragrance. Basically, none of the bad stuff.

Eye Creams

Sonage Luster Eye Creme ($38)
I really like this eye creme. It absorbs quickly and isn't greasy. A little goes a very long way. I'm not sure if I would be willing to pay $38 for it but I'll definitely use what I have.

L'oreal Revitalift Eye ($8.49)
This is my favorite eye treatment. It feel so nice. After using, the skin around my eyes feels so moisturized and soft. I love this eye cream!

LilyAna Naturals Rosehip & Hibiscus Eye Cream ($17.99)
This eye cream is fantastic. I primarily use it like a spa treatment or when it's cold outside. This is thick and really hydrating. This is my 2nd favorite eye cream. Just like the serum, this is free from all the bad things for your skin.

Whew!! I think there's more but this is where I'll leave you for today.

Thank you for reading and I'll see you all next time!
